2019 LIVING AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY MUSEUM
Time & Location
About the Event
We would like for your child (active member's children only) to participate by portraying a famous African American.
We have a list of African Americans that you can sign up for, or you can choose your own famous African American to portray! Details will be found by clicking the sign-up link below!
If you want to reprise your performance from two year's ago, please indicate that, but we do want to feature new figures and we have much more room to do so this year!
The Greater Hartford Chapter of Jack and Jill invites you to join us for An Afternoon at The Museum in celebration of Black History Month!
Our children will create their own living wax museum of African American History at The Wadsworth Atheneum!
We are honored to be representing African American History, Art, and Culture as part of The Amistad Center!
Our Children will be in a contained room and we will be monitoring the entire event!
We will have a slider station and a fajita bar as well as a short program following our performance.
Our Living African American History Wax Museum will take place at The Wadsworth Athenuem in The Hartford Courant Room.
Lunch including a slider and fajita bar and beverages will be served.
A guided tour of the Amistad collection will leave from The Hartford Courant Room.
